Nutella Cream Cheese Filled Banana Bread
Every Sunday morning I make Liam breakfast for the week. We are NOT morning people so something we can just grab and go works best for us! He normally requests a quiche or biscuit sandwiches, but I have been trying to change it up a bit. He could seriously eat the same thing every day for the rest of his life and be fine. He eats the same thing for lunch everyday even though I have asked him a million times what else he wants, he just shrugs at me and says nothing.
This last Sunday as we were having breakfast together, I brought up the idea for a Nutella cream cheese-filled banana bread. He looked at me like I was insane but finally agreed to give it a try. After breakfast, I sat down to figure out how to make my idea actually work. I didn’t want it too sweet and with adding the Nutella I knew I had to cut back on the sugars. I came up with a recipe and hoped it would work so I didn’t have to make the kid a quiche when I was done.
It. Was. Delicious!!! It is so soft and moist, and my official taste testers just loved it! Just look at that layer of Nutella…I said LOOK AT IT!!!Yummy!
I really love using coconut oil in breads, but if you don’t have any on hand, you can always use vegetable or canola oil. I wouldn’t recommend using butter for this recipe; you really need the oil for the bread to be soft and moist.
I really hope you make this and enjoy it as much as we did!
