Nutella Cream Cheese Filled Banana Bread

Ingredients-

Bread

3 small ripe bananas-mashed

1 egg

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup coconut oil-melted

¼ cup greek yogurt

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla

1 cup flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

pinch of salt

Filling

4 ounces cream cheese-softened

½ cup Nutella

Instructions-

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with floured cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl mix egg, brown sugar, granulated sugar, coconut oil, yogurt and vanilla.
  3. Add the mashed bananas and mix until incorporated.
  4. Add remaining ingredients of flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  5. In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese and Nutella using a hand mixer until smooth.
  6. Add half the banana mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula and pushing into the corners.
  7. Evenly pour the Nutella mixture over the bread, smoothing down with a spatula.
  8. Pour the remaining bread batter over the Nutella mixture, smoothing down and pushing into the corners. Make sure to cover the Nutella mixture.
  9. Bake for about 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.
